Thanks Kev. The traditional method of attaching the puukko blade to the handle is peening the tang to the centrally drilled end cap. This may be done with or without epoxy. My method is to bore the handle block with about 1/16th inch clearance for the epoxy. I do not peen the end cap, at least not at this time. I grind in 8-10 grooves into the tang and epoxy. I stabilize in a home made knife vice. When the epoxy cures, I shape the handle to completion. I have not had any problems with this method in usage. I finished grinding and polishing this puukko blade 100mm x 20mm over two weeks ago and now the knife is complete. Padauk handle with ebony spacers and brass bolsters.
