Bruce a frame handle is a very old technique were you basically turn a hidden tang knife into what at first glance appears to be a full tang knife with scales rather than a full block of material. If you look at some of the old historic knives and see what looks like a full tang knife but has a guard and spacer with the recoso narrower that the width of the handle and wonder how did they do that it's most likely a frame handle. If you search my Doc Holliday wip you can see how each step is done. It's time consuming and each part has to have a perfect fit to pull it off correctly.Okay....dumbo question alert.
Please explain the construction and purpose of a frame handle knife.
Thanks
