Old growth wood, very hard before it was stabilized and even better now after being professionally stabilized by K and G....tops in the stabilizing field. Measurements in the pics. Misted/wet pic show both sides and one edge. Water can't hurt the block...that's the beauty of stabilized wood. You'll like it. No better lace burl anywhere. This burl came from Humboldt County, California...the heart of the redwood country.
