i changed to this pulley couple days ago, ive been warned it might decrease torque, and seems it did. i now get motor overload error on the inverter every 5-10 mins, it happened before, but now it happens all the time!

the ratio now of pulleys is about 2.4:1
also the current pulley tends to cause bit more vibration due to the fact that its not perfectly lathed (important parts are done right, but as you can see some are left raw), could that be the reason?

is there anyway to save that setup without having to get a new motor? if not, what would be a max acceptable ratio of pulleys?

also does the twist belt has a right and wrong direction?

info: motor and inverter are 2hp
motor has 1400rpm
pulley on grinder is 8.5cm
pulley on motor 20cm

new motor would have 3000rpm, and since i went through crap already would want to get max power/speed out of it

thanks

PS: sorry the pic is rotated, but im posting this from tab
