Small one-piece spike hawks

I was hunting around for projects while I am waiting for a batch of 3v blades to return from HT, and fired up my forge for the first time in a couple of years. After a little bit of messin' around I came up with a few of these-

1-piece construction from 1/4" 5160 steel, about 14" overall and just under a pound. Paracord grip wrap and a little kydex cover. I really like the feel of these, I wondered about vibration transfer but it was not much of an issue with just the bare tang, and seems non-existant with the cord wrap.
Through hardened using a digital oven, nomalized in reducing heats, quenched in parks AAA, and tempered at 475F.

very nice work, are any of the hawks going to the sandbox?
roy.

None yet. I'm not sure of their military applications besides entry, I am going to have a couple of guys look at one and see what they think.
Thanks for the comments!
