I got the hamon finished out and have the brass guard fitted. I plan on threading the end of the tang on this one. This will be my first attempt at doing this so advise and suggestions will really be appreciated. I'm going to go with a Scottish feel to this one.
I got the threaded tang completed and tapped a brass pommel to secure it. I'm working on a little finesse cap to set it off and give it a little more finish. The bolster is brass with a G10 liner. The handle is African Blackwood.
Thanks! The 1095 I have is producing some great hamons.
The African Blackwood on this is beautiful. You can't tell from the picture but it has some really nice figure and color.
