slipjoint question.

Been wanting to try my hand at building a slipjoint. My question is what type of steel do most of you guy's use for the back spring? Thanks

I use cpm 154 for the blade and spring. Temper the spring at 1135 for 2 hours.

Hello Jim,

I ran out of cpm154 when I started to make my first slip joint. I decided to make two of them with AEB-L. Both the spring and blade are AEB-L. I am very happy with how they turned out.

I will try cpm154 soon though.
