I have made slipjoints with pins in the past but wanted to try one with screw together construction. Getting the pivot barrels in and out with the spring tension is much more difficult than using tapered pins. I made this jig that takes the pressure off of the blade and allows easy placement of the pivot barrel for assembly. I’ll be glad to post additional pictures or answer any questions if y’all are interested. It really works great and only took about an hour to cobble together.
