Shop safety, more than basics

Quench pails of plastic makes my skin crawl every time I see one.

I don't like that either.

Does anyone remember a year or two ago, when some knucklehead in NY (I think) burned down a whole city block because he had watched FIF and decided he should do that?

I remember hearing about that....

Here's something I didn't see in person, but heard about it and saw the evidence years later. A friend of mine, when he got his new power hammer 25-30 years ago (before I knew him), put an empty beer can on the bottom die and when he squished it, the trapped air inside blew it up and buried a piece of shrapnel an inch or so into one of the wooden posts framing his shop. Good thing nobody was in the way....
