Shigefusa inspired Custom San Mai 240mm

Hello. Heres one I made for a client.


245mm tip to heel, 3mm thick spine, above heel. Tapering to the tip. 56mm tall at the heel.


The blade is San mai Carbon damascus over a 1095 carbon core.


Handle is cross cut mammoth ivory, Stabilized. and a piece of Stabilized Koa from Mark at Burl Source.


Rounded spine and choil.

I guess I have been in a fog lately and did not notice this.
Beautiful knife Randy.
You did a great job on the wa style handle.
I like the pattern in the crosscut ivory.
and the koa looks like you brought it to it's full potential.
Beautiful patterns with the san mai too.
