Scalloped G10

Not so much a WIP or tutorial, but more of a how I done it and I'm all ears if you have a better way. Probably not a go to for me but just some variety. Let me know what you think.

I laid it out it offset rows at 3/8" spacing. Started each line with a round needle file, grooved it a bit with a pretty coarse rat tail, and finished it with a 1/2" parallel half round. Sanded to 220 and WD40.

So, did you layer the G10 and then do the sculpting? And then, how did you finish? I have never even seen G10 in person so these may seem like dumbo questions. Thx, Bruce

The brown and black is sold that way. There are lots of variations of colors. I added the blaze orange liners. Shaped like normal then cut in the scallops.

G10 is pretty easy to work, but stinky and dusty. Respirator ALWAYS. Finished at 220 it has a nice even flat finish, and is naturally grippy. Biggest drawback is HEAVY and is difficult to get a balanced feel.
