Rustic File Forgery

My first attempt at forging a blade. I was able to draw and twist the handle OK. I don't think I had enough coal/heat to get the blade hot enough to forge the bevels, so I ground them.

So here it is with a simple pouch sheath I made, too:



I'm pretty pleased overall, but I'm going to have to try again with more coal....

Great start!
Looks better that the first one I forged. LOL.
Nothing wrong with a little grinding. Much more grinding happens than a lot of forgers will admit.
