Retirement gift !

Hey guys , a fella at the shop is set to retire in two weeks after 44 years in the same shop! He’s been after me for a while for a “pig sticker” so this is what I came up with . She isn’t finished yet , about 90%, still have plenty of file work to do on the guard and hand sanding on the handle then put an edge on her! Hope you guys like it !

They are probably my favorite style. They flow, are beautiful and can do some serious work because of the convex grind .

It was !!! After handling it for a couple hours I actually took a file and removed just a tad bit to allow for easier sharpening .

Just so you know, I’m going to be retiring in about 5 years or so……..
