I bet we could! It was close to 90 here today, overcast and humid.
Thanks ! I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking burlap micarta (I've been using that a lot lately) or Osage Orange.

I'm going to have to try my hand at that. I really like the looks of rag micarta but it's not easy to come by. I've seen some that look really nice.
Seems like it would be really messy to make.

Wax paper is your friend, that and the stretchy stuff, Seran wrap or whatever its called. other than that have throw away containers for mixing, lay out your strips before you mix the resin and wear nitrile gloves.
EDIT TO ADD......
Mix more resin than you think you will need, better to have too much and let it ooze out one end than to have spots that aren't 100% impregnated

I make my pieces over sized, the last piece I made, after trimming off the crappy edges and my oops' measured about 5x12 and just under .5" thick
