This is a big knife, made it last year. Blade is full tang, 01 high carbon, Rc 56/58, 1/4" thick X 2" wide X 8.5" long. Brass guard and impregnated wood handle.
I have always wanted a Smatchett from WW2 era Burma. Could never find one so I decided to make one, well my version of one anyhow. It actually evolved into an almost Roman short sword. I guess I owe a big thanks to the Brits of WW2 Burma and one of the Roman Ceasars
