Does anyone have any experience with rare earth magnets? Are all N52’s created alike? Same quality? Are certain companies/brands better than others? thanks. z

It's hard to say. The Neodymium magnets seem to be the good ones. I just use the large welding magnets to help with grinding.
It seems that most N52 magnets are about the same, and the best source depends a lot on the size/shape of magnet desired. Here's a set I used for the magnetic chuck of my SGA: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075WRM6S7/
Tracy, if you don't have a surface grinder, you gonna LOVE the SGA. Did you decide for aluminum or steel for chuck?
