Powder Coating and Makers Mark

So I have to powder coat a couple of neck knives (at the request of the customer). Now my question lies in the process of my electro etched makers mark, I figure the powder coat will cover it up, so should I make sure I get a really deep etch or try to cover the etch with something before powder coating? I know esee uses a laser process to mark their knives after powder coating, recommendations?

Related thought, just off the top of my head... What temp/time is the pc being baked at? It might well affect the temper of the blade.
Like I said, related, but not really directly on topic either.

I wait and powder coat between my first and second temper cycle so I don't ruin my temper when curing the coat.

Most powder coat is baked at 400ºF for 20 minutes for a full cure. So, depending what temperature you temper at, it could well affect temper of finished blade.
