I got 2 weeks off around Christmas and should have been making knives but I need to get my firewood out for next winter. Here are a couple pictures of my day, just playing around. I used to run a sawmill full time for three years until I went broke. Now that I have a real job and can only afford to log and saw on the weekends. 
First tree of the day an old swamp maple It was a bit of a tricky fall we have been having wind gusts of up to 70km today.
The beast. I need to do a bunch of work on the cab, hopefully this summer. A set of skid plates and a cage would not be a bad investment but I'm in enough trouble financing my knife making habit.
The funny thing is on Saturday (45F) I was working around the yard in a sweater and it was raining, now on Monday we have 8" of snow with a high of 19F.
I was having a good day until I dumped the trailer on its side, full of course. Nothing like unloading 8' wood in 2'-3' of water. Sorry I was not in the mood to take pictures of the trailer on its side. All in a days work, now I will see if I can fix the loader tomorrow morning and try again
