I thought the same. !Great look OP, the Bocote looks like antler almost in that last shot! I had to roll back up and re-read to see it wasn't antler!

The way I got round that problem was to have a half pattern with the center marked top and bottom. Scribe one side and turn the pattern to scribe the other side and that way the pattern is semetrical on the steel so that grinding to the scribe lines gives an even both sides grind.That's a real nice job on a pattern that is not easy to do. The only thing that I can point out is that the curve of the blades back from the point is not even but you're getting there.

Thanks Gene. It was a fun build and I’m most sure I’ll do another one but with a shorter blade.Nice job on a challenging shape to grind! A dagger is a design I've never had an interest in making, but after doing my first, I have the urge to do more.
