Petty/large paring knife

Long time lurker, first time poster here...I'm just starting out and my interest so far lies in kitchen knives; here's a pic of one of my first, this one is AEB-L and blue G10, blade just a bit under 5".
Would love to hear any and all constructive feedback!

Bobby,
Welcome to Kd's
That one looks great so far.
Parers/Petty/Utility knives are for working towards yourself held in your hands in smaller blade lengths of say 2- 3 1/2". Then when you get to a 4-6" blade like your baby, they are for working on the board. This calls for more knuckle clearance.

There are at least two ways to accomplish this, first a taller blade and second a taller or off set handle. I make about 90% culinary so if I can help you in any way? Just contact me.

Laurence, thanks so much for the feedback. You know as of late I'd been thinking the same myself; this sort of "grew" from a shorter design and while it feels quite good in the hand and functions pretty well as a utility/parer, I've been debating trying a version with increased blade height to make it more "board friendly". Very cool to know you are extensive with culinary; I'm sure I'll want to pick your brain further!
