That knife looks fantastic. Very classy. Shortening the handle definitely balanced out the look of it and with the coin on the end you make it very unique.
 
See , I told y'all he would be finished before I was done with 120 grit sandpaper ! Not to mention that his looks great. Good job , OP.
 
Thanks guys! I was able to get the light sanding spots on the butt dyed to match the dark bark of the antler.
Looking forward to your WIP’s.
 
OP how did you attach the Standing Liberty Coin. I have a chef knife I'm going to start working on and I wanted to do a Butt but the tang dosnt go all the way thru. Thought that Epoxy might not be enough with use?

I got it from Tandy leather. It’s dome shaped and has a female threaded stud and attached with a screw tapped and epoxied into the antler.
I’ve attached flat butt caps on other knives by epoxy and then drilling pin holes atopposing angles. I peen the pins over before tapping them home on the butt cap.
