Found an old blade for a farm implement never spark tested it or anything. Forged it out decided to spark test it no good! Must be mild steel. Anyway finished the forging cause I need the practice, wanted to practice a new way I was shown how to grind that's quite a bit faster. As an experiment it went well my forging is getting better and faster and the new grinding style is going to work GREAT with a little more practice.



I do have steel coming from Aldo too! Just wanted to do something in shop today. After all that you still get what the title says a "PAPERWEIGHT " LOL!! Lesson learned!

Grind it into a butter knife put a nice handle on it and give it to a woman. They love that stuff for serving.

I give them to my neighbors sometimes so they do not get too aggravated with my banging on steel.

I have my disc grinder I haven't tried yet so I believe this might be the first experiment for flattening
