That's really cool looking! Am I understanding this right... Is the front portion/guard going to be damascus and flow with the pattern in the blade? That looks tricky. What material are you thinking for the scales?

Yes, the blade, guard and full tang will be one solid piece of damascus. At least that's the plan! I haven't decided on the scales yet. I have some really nice ironwood burl, koa and some mammoth tooth that I'm considering.
