oosik Bowie

This is my first attempt with a chunk of OOsik. I wasn't sure if this style would work but I think it turned out ok. What do you think?
17 1/2" overall, the blade is 10 1/2" 440C, the guard,bolster whatever you call that is damascus and of course the business end of the Oosik.

Very cool- at that length it's almost a short sword- can see some crusty deck hand packin that around for whale processing- nice work.

Very nice, first time I've seen the end of an oosik used, usually a middle section
