You did not say, but I'm assuming your are using Russet, or natural color leather. See if there is some Virgin Olive Oil in the kitchen, and use that. Apply it VERY sparingly in multiple applications until you get the shade you are looking for. It will darken the leather dramatically so wait until it "levels" out before applying a second or third time. It is best to use a sheep fleece swab for application. Just be sure to get it on sparingly.
