I just found out this weekend that Harbor Freight has discontinued their Fireman's Hatchet :( ... I've searched the stores in my area and only found 2 left in stock on clearance.

I've got some friends and relatives checking their respective stores, but unless I can lay hands on a bunch, that's it. These will be the last two I get to make. Too bad, as I really like making them. All I need are the heads- so if anyone out there can find 'em, let me know. I'd be willing to pay for them.
 
I just checked and HF says it will be available at Gautier, MS on Dec 15th for "In Store purchase only". A bit more research it shows stock on Dec 15th for in store purchase at several places within 35 miles of West Chester, PA
 
I’ll have to see what if anything changes on the 15th then. Maybe they’ll continue to offer it online only? I’m assuming as a clearance item it’s being discontinued.
 
My local store is out of stock, but a check of availability of close stores shows it in stock at several stores semi close. Maybe they can transfer between stores IDK
 
Good news! I've been able to get a total of 10 axes! My brother in law, a cousin and a coworker were able to find some (Georgia, Michigan and PA). That should hold me long enough to find another option.

i see some in Rancho Cordoba, CA only available in store. But that appears to change as of 12/28 and they will be available online
