Will this stuff forge weld?Has anyone used this? Im thinking 1085. 5 layers.any advice?

Nickel is often used in pattern welded stuff. Not sure if it’s the “201” nickel, but I know pure nickel welds up.Will this stuff forge weld?

Thank you that's what I wanted to hearI find this: Alloy 201 is a wrought commercially pure Nickel with a maximum carbon level of 0.02%.
That sounds like the nickel I've used in Damascus before and it works nicely. Gives really good contrasting layers.
