I would like to attempt to make a n.s. sheath for the bird knife.
What gauge of n.s. should i buy and can anyone give me some tips on working with it?
Also which solder should i order for this project?
Thanks for all your help!

Bob

I did one in copper and used the hardest of the 4 grades of silver solder.
Where my fit up was the best you almost can't see the the joint.

I'm doing one now in NS .040 pretty thick but leaves a lot of room for misalignment and finish. The copper one I used .032 and much softer and easy to work.

I have used the "easy" silver solder (the second lowest temp. of the 4) with sterling silver and it doesn't match color (a little brassy), so being that the NS has a yellow cast to it, it might match the best.

I hope to solder mine up tomorrow,so I'll post pics.
Here's the copper one

Correction: The 4 solders are Hard, Medium, Easy, extra easy
