A fool and his money are soon parted. I have been saving up for a custom stamp and this came along at half the price of a stamp and holder. This is a Scripta Engraver.

The only drawback I can see right now is it runs on 440v three phase power. At the moment I’m waiting for a price on a step up transformer. I have been messing around with it trying to find a way to run it without tearing it apart. Anyone have any experience with one of these?

Wow! I don't think you realize what you have there. It's an engraver but you can also use it for milling female inlay pockets and also to make your male inlays . You will have to make your patterns but that's not a problem.
You will have to make sure the ratio on this machine properly for what ever you want to do with it. Did you get any instructions with it or can you get help to set it up from whoever you bought it from? Did you get any accessories with it like collets or engraving cutters, patterns or anything like that?
I will try to remember tomorrow to get the website address for Factorymation in Atlanta Georgia. You can get a phase converter to run it on from them.
I have a Green D-2 engraving machine but I use it as a milling machine to mill out patterns that I create.
You can have a lot of fun with this machine if you'll learn how to use it.

I never thought about cutting inlays with it Calvin, thanks for pointing that out.

I got a few boxes of stuff, collets, few bits (super small), three bags of unopened letters, a few wrenches, and a handful of taps. The shop I bought it from is large and had not used this machine years. They did not have a manual for it. I got it for 200$ I figure I could not loose. I must admit it is driving me nuts that I can’t run it.
