When you looked it up, did you see anything about that kind of reaction? I have tried to find it myself which took me to you guys.

I found lots of frozen veggies arc in the microwave due to science. Very unlikely to be the knife.

I will confess to being a coffee snob. It would be an extremely rare event for me to microwave coffee. Probably most likely to happen when the power is out.

Thanks a million for this. My daughter had it happen with one of the knives cutting raw carrots. The minerals in the soil make perfect sense but I cannot recall ever seeing it before. I appreciate the help very much. It's a peace of mind knowing it's not the knife. Thank you, Jerry

I am too...I am also a tight-wad...tossing good brew makes me cringe right now as I can barely afford coffee...LOL! Micro it is....

I don't microwave coffee either although I'm a long way from a coffee snob drinking Dunkin' Donuts coffee. LOL
