Hello everyone. Im a new guy to the forums. Wanting to get into hobby knife making. Nothing crazy just stuff for myself and family maybe. Going to try starting out with making new liners and scales for a balisong blade that I have from years ago. Then, from there.....????
 
Welcome! Sounds like a good way to start. Many suppliers like USA Knifemaker have knife blanks that you can add custom handles to. That might make a good next step if you aren't sure about jumping into stock removal/heat treating/forging right away. It's a good way to get started without a huge investment, I think.
