howdy y'all! i'm cornfed from las vegas. some of ya may know me and some not,so here's a lil bit about lil ol me!
i am 43 years old,and i have had a lifetime love affair with the edged tool. i got my first pocket knife when i was nine years old from my grandpa down in houston. i would sit and listen to his stories of the korean war,and watch him whittle on a lil piece of wood, and although the stories entertianed and captured my imagination,my attention and infactuation would always be on his knife. one afternoon,he sat me down beside him,and handed me a japanese made multi bladed pocket knife and started to teach me how to whittle on wood, and how to cut away from myself and how to sharpen the knife on a stone.
i would'nt give anything in the world for that day, when my love for a good sharp knife started
i still have that knife and even though it is beaten and rusty,i still love it and would'nt part with it for anything in the world!
i am a tattoo artist by trade, and i do a lil scrimshaw from time to time as well.
i look forward to learning and contributing here as well.
thanks, and all the best to you and you'rs! -fed
