New Forge Build - WIP

It needs some tweaking - but I'm glad to be at the "usable" stage. This forge gives me more even heat than my 1st propane forge - and is portable - and is marginally hotter (that's where I'll be tweaking and tuning). Here's the WIP - let me know if you are interested in details or costs. (hover your mouse/or click for larger photos)

Baldric has a cunning plan:

How to cut up a 4'x4' sheet of steel to make a forge (newt optional):

Getting bent. The deep box is the forge shell top (upside down). The shallower box is the forge base. The little boxes are for door plugs. The plan has two forge doors and a lower "cleanout" door for retrieving dropped items.

Various tubes & rods for legs, top/base mating, tool rests, burner support...

Forge shell welded up - and Insboard, Inswool, burner from old forge, yadda yadda yadda

Forge shell top and bottom (with legs) - with Insboard & Inswool installed:

A couple of slow heating sessions ending in high temp curing sessions for 2 layers of Satanite:

It's a boy! Final slow heating followed by high temp for the ITC-100. I shut it down at 2150f ... I want to tweak & tune to see if I can get it to maintain 2300f.
