New Bush Bastid

[One]

The “Bush Bastid” has been one of my most popular designs, though each is a little different.

Here’s one I just finished up.

It’s forged from ¼ by 1-½ inch 1065 with an integral socket type handle, with woven cotton cord wrapping sealed with orange flake shellac and a top coat of pinion pine rosin.

17-1/2 inches OAL.
The blade is 10-1/2 inches long and 2-1/4 wide at the widest point.

Randy, my father was a sculptor/art professor and he used to talk a lot about implied motion and "thrust".

Brancusi's "Bird in Space" is a good example.
