neo master...goo

Got to spend a couple days with Tai at his place (along with Jeff Sanders). Seeing his work in pics is amazing enough. Holding it in person is kind of surreal. These were some of the forged knives I got to see and hold. The last one found its way into my grubby mitts, and I can't seem to put it down....(If you have any extra Christmas money, I can't think of a better investment...)

Thanks for the post Todd. That was a fun two days.

For those that don't already know, Todd is a master spoon carver. He showed me and Jeff his technique. He also makes all his own carving tools.

Jeff is a master picker. He kept us well entertained and gives private guitar and banjo lessons in Tucson.

Jeff is a talented musician. Forging and good music....now that's a good time. Add Tai's cooking, and you don't want to go home...Tai made some sweet and sour pork that Jeff and I had to get the recipe for.

Awesome blades, awesome folks, awesome pictures. Makes me nostalgic for the days when Tai posted things like his wingtip forging shoes and his quail, cactus pad, and mesquite bean diet. :)

Thanks James. I miss those days too. I know I've been kind of reserved lately, but you never know how folks will take it on the internet. I think Todd is going to post some clips on YouTube from that weekend,... might be a few fun moments in them. :)

Here's the first clip from Todd. Thanks Todd. :)

I wish you could have been too here Jeremiah...

After seeing what Todd was doing with the spoons, I decided to try my hand at it. My technique isn't as pure as his, but I'm hooked anyway. :)
