Need recommendations.

I'm a newbie here.
I'm looking for a folding knife for a gift. I picked up a Smith &Wesson first response knife from Amazon. Couldn't beat the price, but the blade quality is really bad.

So I'm on the hunt again. I looked online, and found so many manufactures, price ranges, and types. I have no idea which knives are decent, and which knives to stay away from.

I prefer a non serrated blade, and ideally black handle.
A price range around $60 is about all I want to spend.

Any suggestions, or a place to start looking would be appreciated.

Thanks

I like the feel and use of a Kershaw 1670BW Blur Folding Knife with Blackwash SpeedSafe - with Sandvik's 14C28N steel it's priced at $58 shipped on Amazon. The same knife with S30V steel is $65. I wonder how the 14C28N would compare to the S30V?

It's not one of those expensive knives, but I do like it. I've been carrying for a couple yr now. Sad to say, the blade on my knife is 420HC and I'm not impressed at all with that steel compared to 14C28N. These knives are still made in USA.
