My prettiest knife (so far)

Smallshop

KNIFE MAKER
I have a friend who used to be my pastor...it's his birthday today. He's been very down as his wife has had a brain tumor for a year plus...and yesterday they took her off all meds and now she is getting hospice (please pray for her recovery...her name is Judy)

My boys still call Eddie "pastor Eddie" so I engraved that on the knife. I don't engrave production knives as it is an absolute time sink-hole....But for a good friend it hopefully will be a real blessing. I like the theme to this one...

Corian handles material is called "hickory", brown g-10 liners, brown micarta pins. A2 blade...61RC.

when I finish the sheath I'll add some more picse3.jpg here.

Hope he likes it!e1.jpge2.jpg

I have no doubt he will love that knife. Love the scales, that is pretty stuff!
Adding Judy and family to our prayer list.

Father God, please heal Judy in such a miraculous way that only You can get the credit (glory). Amen.

Love the knife, I have a similiar design knife I inherited from my father. He will treasure it.

As a token of love, respect and friendship, it dosent come any better than that beautiful knife Ted. Any prayer for Judy has to also be for Eddie to be strong for her and for himself as they both struggle through this life. May God Bless them through their faith and our prayers.

Eddie and Judy are like those two coon hounds in "where The Red Fern Grows"...inseparable....I've always said that Judy walks with one foot in heaven...she loves the Lord very strongly...and I don't think she minds going home(I think she might prefer to...)...BUT....it would wreck Eddie...I have been asking the Lord to heal Judy for Eddie's sake...He's worn out from being a care giver but doesn't want her to go. I hope the Lord heals her...I don't want to see my friend have to deal with her passing.

Appreciate all the prayers guys!

Fantastic job on the knife, Ted. I know it will bring him some small bit of happiness that everyone needs from time to time. Prayers for Judy as well as him.

Here's the whole package...my first production knife! and he absolutely loved it!

This is copper powder coating on the aluminum frame...lined leather panels (.027 pigskin lining) the clips I modify to be usable...this is for pocket clip or you can tuck it inside your belt and clip to the belt for external carry(right pocket or belt carry)...or drop the entire rig into your pocket. That is one reason I prefer the clip knife...If I have to go into a building where someone might get triggered by a knife...I un-clip and drop it in the pocket...

Sorry for the cell phone pic....lol.

Thanks John...I developed this after realizing my leather skill would not be ready to sell sheaths when I was ready to sell knives...lol. Gotta run with the tools you have!

It's a wee bit heavier than leather...feels great...smooth in the pocket.

I since have a sheath maker that has designed a clean simple sheath and will make production for me. The metal framed sheath actually take me longer than an all leather sheath but looks real clean. I'm going to continue working with it because it opens a ton of options. Just don't know what the reception will be on non-traditional and higher price...

I think the uniqueness of that sheath will have a good reception among the knife buyers as it is different and adds to the custom aspect of your production knives. Excellent sidestep on the traditional leather or kydex sheath and way more eye pleasing than anything kydex ever covered.

Nicely done. I had mixed feelings on the initial rendition of your aluminum framed sheath, but it looks much...much better here. I think the copper coating makes a huge difference in how it looks.

That's a nice looking package there Ted, the sheath is different and different sells.
I also know sheaths can make or break a sale in a knife. I've never understood makers I've seen at shows that have knives for sale but no sheaths to go with them.
