My Power Hammer

Yep, I now have a power hammer..... well, it's a little 3D printed power hammer. I call it "Little Yellar" since I used yellow filament for printing. All credit goes to Joonas Träskelin for the files. Files are located at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5776659 My hammer is just a simple "thrown together" project just to see it work.

I agree. Preferably different colors so you can fold some playdo damascus!

I love the Play-Doh idea too! That would be awesome

While it's a great idea it would take a good bit more work to do the Play-Doh idea. The "hammer" part would have to be reworked to add some weight to it. Here's a guy who does the Play-Doh idea and it looks good. His power hammer also looks better than the one I put together. He added a bit of weight to the "Hammer" to help with operation and it still doesn't really work the Play-Doh much.

That's pretty cool. I've always wanted to make a mini guillotine cigar cutter, maybe about 12 inches tall with a spring powered blade.

While the idea of PlayDoh Damascus seems funny - I'm told some folks use different color Play-Doh to test different patterns of Damascus.

I use it to teach people how to move steel with hammers.
