The following are my first 3 forged knives.

The blade above is a full tang design made of 5160 steel and fitted with desert ironwood handles.

This next knife is a hidden tang design made out of 1095 steel. The handle is purple heart, the guard is brass, and the butt cap is made of steel.

My most recent design is made from 5160 steel and has black linen micarta scales.

All 3 knives were triple quenched and all 3 passed the brass rod flex test.

Thanks for the input I appreciate it a lot. I am still trying to figure out this photo thing. I can make a better knife than I can take a photo of it.

Neat work. 5160 is tricky to get clear temper lines like that. Well done.

Thanks for the comment. I have to thank Ed Caffrey for his articles, posts and video for my success and most of what I have learned about bladesmithing thus far.

Thanks, I am learning how to take better photos. The ones above leave a lot to be desired.

Awesome work!! All 3 knives look like they will stand up to some heavy use for years to come .I really like the 2 out of 5160.

Thanks chip, they are my favorites also. The hidden tang was a lot more work though.
