My first completed knife...

Hey guys. I've been a student of these forums for years, and I've messed around with blacksmithing a bit some... but I finally got the knife bug, and decided to get serious about it. This is my first completed knife. While it's not perfect, I'm pretty happy with the result.

I used unstabilized cherry (finished with 8 coats of tung oil only), mosaic pics, and 5160. It's been triple-quenched, with a scandi grind. Total length is about 11.5".

Thanks for checking it out!

Not bad for a first knife. You should have seen mine, it had a complex series of about 10 or so bevels.

Well there you go, now you are a knife maker. That's not a bad first knife. I used unstabilized cherry for the first knife I made. In fact I coated it with tongue oil too. But I wasnt brave enough to use mosaic pins.
Thanks for sharing your work with us. Keep it up!
