More forging today

I cut a 4inch section off the Dion Damascus billet and started forging a small blade under 7". These are some photos of the work in progress. I'll try to get it heat treated and tempered tomorrow.

Tang small enough to grab and start on shaping the blade

About all of the forging on this blade. It was a little hot today!

This is sanded to 80 grit and a quick dip in the acid to see the damascus.

It really is. I need to get a forge specific area set up with a proper stand for my anvils and more room to move around.

You mean there are less than two in a shop!?!?
Just kidding. When I first started making Knives I picked yo a small anvil Then ran across a nice old HB. That I just couldn’t turn down.
