mold on leather

Hay guys, I have a piece of leather about 12 x 30 that was left in the shop 3 or 4 days and it has got mold about half way up from one edge. What is the best way to get rid of it and will the remains cover with dye? I plan on using alcohol base black dye. thanks, Jerry

Let dry until the mold turns to powder, vacuum off the loose powder. Wipe the entire pieces down with white vinegar and then wipe clean with clear cool water and a clean rag. Redo if need be. As for the dying should be no problem, deglaze before dying per normal, but it wont/hurt to test first.
