The stamp press I fabricated uses 1" steel and pipe, a stamp from Buckeye Engraving and a 12 ton hydraulic press. I was in Northern Tool yesterday and realized there was an easier way to make a blade stamp press. The hand operated hydraulic log splitter (below) can be easily modified into a blade stamp press. The splitter shown is rated at 8 tons but almost any splitter with >10 ton capacity will work.
