Forged to shape from 1095 high carbon steel. Differentially hardened Blade with an edge quench, Double tempered, Flat ground with a convex edge. The spine is rounded near the handle for choking up to do detail work and squared near the tip for scraping. Lightly acid etched to reveal the temper line, and a patina started by slicing chicken. Couldn't wait to try it out. The handle is Honduran Rose Wood with brass pins and tubes with a Brass coffin shaped guard all on a tapered tang.
