The last few months my son has asked "Dad, when are you going to make me a knife?" So one day he was out of school and we did not have a sitter so I stayed home with him. We started his knife. I laid out a bunch of patterns and told him to pick one. It was a pattern I drew up awhile ago but never made so I was all in. Then I told him to go pick out what handle he wanted...bright green! So we got after it.
I did most of the leg work but he helped me hand sand, he loved the drill press and so he drilled and chamfered the holes. It's made from 15n20 I heat treated it in the forge as him,sis and mom watched.
It was great having him in the shop with me, he said when he gets 10 or 12 he wants to make one by him self. He is 6 right now.
Anyway had to share, not my best pics but was in a rush.
Thanks for looking
