I have made the blanks and am not sure if I should start grinding the bevels before heat treat this is my first attempt at SS and will be sending these out for heat treat and temper. Any advice would be great.
 
Thinner than 1/8, don't grind in bevels. Never sent out blades for heat treating, so maybe they are less likely to warp than home ht, I don't know. My 2 cents, take it for what it's worth.

That's what I needed to know thank you
 
I always pre-grind if possible... Should only take about 6-7 min and will save a lot of belts/time after.

Also, did you surface grind the flats yet or do they still have the mill finish?
