Looks like we have another lanyard maker in the pound :)

Ernie Swanson

SASSY PINK LUUNCHBOX KNIFE MAKER
In a recent order to USA Knife Maker Supply, I ordered 3 25 foot sections of paracord, I figured I would try out makin' some lanyards.

Well.......I love it. I am having a blast. I made a small monkey fist, slip on bracelet for me, keychain, 3 lanyards, a slip on bracelet for my 3 year old, and a zipper pull. I only got a chance to work on these today and I was getting so into it, I got blisters on 4 fingers and kept going :)

So if you need any lanyards made let me know :) :) :)

Here are some pics!!!

They are fun to make. My wife and I spent all weekend last fall practicing different braids.

You might be a natural at braiding. Few people are good and enjoy it too. Raw hide next. Check out Robin Severe, (Rough Country) over on the Sheath Forums here.

You definitely look like a natural... How much would you want for one of the slip-on bracelets?

And how long did it take you to master THIS one???

Well Ernie, I've made a few box knot style you can see one of them on my 2nd knife post in the New to Knife Making section....one question...what in the world do you do with all the strands that you pull out of the middle?.....you surely don't throw them away do you?...seems like a waste....but who knows....what do you do with it?

If you pull any of the inner strands out you can use them to pull lanyards through the thong holes on knives or other things you want to put a lanyard on. I have kept some ant threw some away, I am going to send one along with any lanyard I send out to other people.

This last week when I had time in the truck I worked on a 2 point sling for my new stock that I put on my Remington 597 .22 lr

Hey Ernie, thats cool as grits and groovy as gravy but I personaly wouldn't trust those plastic clips on my gun sling.

Hi Ernie,
good looking sling! My daughter has the braid at the connectors down pat, but what is the main sling braid called? Where can I find instruction for that one? Thank you, TZ
