Finished this up tonight. Custom cut letter M for the stamping and purple dyed beaver tail to match the purple heart wood. One hammer mishap, but not much I can do about it.

My problem with leather is that I want to rush through it and move on, but I will say that people love knives with pants!

That could be difficult to do. If you leave it as is, it will patina with handling and eventually darken. @Dennis Morland will most likely know what to put on it to preserve the natural look. However I suspect even a neutral color will change it slightly. Demo?

I just let it be. Meant to be used, so dirty it shall get. I had the bright idea to add the purple which is someone’s favorite color, but it looked better without any dye. I am still building my arsenal, but one day will have an assortment of goods.

My take. Leather is a sponge. Anything that is put on it will change its appearance, color, and tone. If you do not use anything on it, the cut edges will suffer, eventually. Watch out for moisture.
