I finally got around to making this knife. I’ve wanted a general purpose/bushcraft knife for years. It’s O1 tool steel with black and blue G10 scales with red liners and 3/16” stainless pins

I made a mandrel/drift out of a tank track pin, thank God Bruce let me use his hydraulic press

Last one I did, I really liked this one and think I will make another to keep in my pickup.

Here’s some progress on the current axe handle is 20.5” hickory

All hand made, body was cut off a 2’ bar of 2”x4” A36 mild steel, the eye was cut with a slitting chisel and drifted with a small axe drift I forged here in my shop, the cutting bit was forged from a bar of 2”x.270 1084. For me this thing represents a whole lot of hammer blows, trial and error and lessons learned. Made the handle from a locally sawn hickory board.
