Knife For NYC Fire Fighter

Im showing this knife to you guys a little early..

This past fall on a hunting trip I met a guy in camp who was a NYC Firefighter. He happened to see one of my knives and asked if I would make him one. Well after hearing this guys story of the whole 911 incident , I just melted ... WHat these brave men and women went through on that day was unbelievable . Not to say that he lost many many firefighting brothers working right beside him on that day of hell..

So I got to thinking , I always wanted to get a knife engraved. So thats where Im at right now .. I sent this knife to our very own KD Brother, Doug Southerland to engrave this knife with the Letters FDNY , his initials JD and the year he bacame a Firefigher 1985.
Doug emailed me yesterday that recieved the the knife , he needs a few days to think on it and hopefully with in the next week or two I will get it back..

I finished the sheath last night and Im just awiting on the knife ..

Im excited to see it and I promise as coon as its done Ill post the pics!

Very nice work Mikey, the fit and finish are superb as usual - it will make him smile which is very cool- great story.
